Testimonials

Ms P, Scotland (Zoom)

“I approached Rachel for help regarding my confidence and anxiety which was stopping me moving forward in my life. Her beautiful, professional, non- judgmental and calm approach was exactly what I needed. I would highly recommend Rachel as a counsellor.”

Mrs M, Germany (Zoom)

“I experienced Rachel as professional, consistent and authentic. She provided me a safe space to think through the issue I was grappling with, as well as practical tools to work with beyond our hourly sessions. With patience and kindness she got me to focus on the emotions I had, until recently, successfully held at bay.”

Mr M, Tewkesbury (face to face)

“I didn’t think I would benefit from counselling, but was encouraged to seek counselling by my Doctor following the death of my father,  when I confessed to drinking too much to try and ease my grief . I must admit to not wanting to attend the first session and dreaded it a bit.

Rachel started by allowing me to explain the background and why I required counselling. This explanation took roughly the whole of the first session, in which she was very considerate and listened attentively to me. The following session Rachel was able to recall my retelling from the previous week with little reminding.

Over the course of the following weeks Rachel was able to allow me to explore my grief and come to terms with my loss. I think part of my initial problem was not being able to put my feelings into words, something Rachel has allowed me to do.

It has now been 3 months since I finished my counselling sessions , and I have not felt better or happier since the death of my father. I have reduced my alcohol intake and whilst I still grieve and miss my father, I feel through counselling with Rachel I have been able to overcome the intense pain of losing him.”

Ms B, Cheltenham (face to face and Zoom)

“Each session with Rachel helped me feel better and gave me something constructive to focus on in between sessions. She helped me understand some of my experiences in early life were probably having an effect on my current situation. Learning to be kinder to myself and focusing on getting the balances right in my life helped me to break out of self-destructive thought patterns that had been ruling and ruining my life. The struggle is ongoing but it is comforting to know that I am being supported, I feel like Rachel has thrown me a life line.”

Mrs A and Mr J Gloucestershire (Zoom Couple’s Counselling)

“We both came to Rachel as two fifty year old widows, who had lost our spouses very unexpectedly, yet started a fabulous relationship whilst dealing with the grief and trauma. Our relationship had gone through the ideal stage, and we were deeply entrenched in the ordeal stage, all we knew was that we loved each other, but struggled to deal with the reality of our fiery relationship. Rachel showed us nothing but empathy and understanding, in a totally non-judgmental way, she has given us the tools for us to securely move our relationship into the real deal stage. We will be forever grateful.”
